Biratnagar batting against Pokhara

Pokhara Avengers will field first against Biratnagar Kings in the second match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket on Tuesday. Pokhara captain Kushal Bhurtel has invited Biratnagar to bat after winning the toss.

Pokhara chose to bowl as it would be difficult for the team bowling in the second innings under the floodlights of the Tribhuvan University Cricket International Stadium. Kathmandu Gorkhas had won the toss and elected to field first in the opening match the previous day.

New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham, a key member of Janakpur's title win last year, is playing for Pokhara. But Jason Roy, who was announced by the team, is not in Pokhara.

Along with Kushal and Neesham, Dinesh Kharel, Tritaraj Das, Adam Rossington, Daniel Douthwaite, Matt Taylor, Abhishek Tiwari, Kiran Thagunna, Akash Chand, and Sagar Dhakal are playing from Pokhara.

Faf du Plessis is not playing for Biratnagar. Lokesh Bam, Martin Guptill, George Munsi, Naren Bhatt, Bashir Ahmed, Susham Ranjan, Narayan Joshi, Pratish GC, Machant de Lange, and Surya Tamang are playing for Biratnagar, which is captained by Sandeep Lamichhane.
