In Nepal Premier League (NPL) Qualifier-Two, Karnali Yaks presented a medium target to Janakpur Bolts on Thursday. After losing the toss at TU ground in Kirtipur, Karnali came down to bat first and set a target of 119 runs.
Karnali could score only 118 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Gulsan Jha made the biggest contribution to it. He scored 25 runs off 20 balls.
He hit a four and two sixes before being bowled by Mohammad Mohsin. Opener Dev Khanal scored 24 runs. He hit three fours and one six off 20 balls. Another opener, Jaikishan Kolswala, was dismissed for one run. The contribution of his three foreign players was mediocre. Out of that, Jisan Maqsood scored 12 runs, William Bosisto scored 14 runs and Chadwick Walton scored 11 runs. Towards the end, Anees Thakuri added 12 runs.
Among Janakpur's bowlers, Lalit Rajvanshi, James Nisam and Mohsin took two wickets each. The winner of this match will face Sudurpaschim Royals in the final. Far West has already reached the finals. The
final will be held on Saturday. Karnali defeated the eliminator Chitwan Rhinos by 21 runs. Janakpur lost eight wickets against Sudurpaschim in Qualifier-1. Janakpur has lost consecutively in the last two matches. In the league stage, Karnali was in the fourth place while Janakpur was in the second place.
