After William Bosisto bowled the best in Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket, Karnali Yaks got a target of only 104 runs to win the second match against Pokhara Avengers on Tuesday. After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Pokhara Bosisto was bowled out for 103 runs in 16.3 overs after taking 6 wickets.
Dinesh Kharel and Andries Gaus scored 46 runs in 4 overs at the Trivi International Cricket Ground Kirtipur to give Pokhara a very good start. But after Bipin Sharma got Gauss out for 25 runs, Pokhara could not handle it. Gauss played 12 balls and hit 4 fours and 1 six. Another opener Dinesh scored 26 runs with 4 fours and 1 six off 19 balls.
Bosisto cut and bowled captain Kushal Bhurtel for 10 runs and started taking his wicket by taking Pokhara's third wicket. Pokhara lost their last seven wickets for 22 runs after Bosisto's brilliant spell.
Bosisto then dismissed Matt Critchley for nil, Dilip Nath for 3, Michael Lysak for 2, Narayan Joshi for 1, Rayman Reefer for 20 runs. Reefer, who played 26 balls, could not hit any boundary .
Australian all-rounder Bosisto spent 28 runs in 4 overs while taking 6 wickets. This is the best bowling in the ongoing NPL. Earlier Sohail Tanveer of Chitwan Rhinos, Naren Saud of Sudurpaschim Royals and Harsh Thakar of Janakpur Bolts took 5 wickets each in the same match.
Akash Chand scored 1 run and got out lbw off Sompal Kami and Bipin Khatri got run out for 10 runs. Karnali are playing their first game in NPL without Shikhar Dhawan.
Babar Hayat is playing in place of Dhawan. Karnali has won 2 and lost 2 of the previous 4 matches. Pokhara has won only 1 out of 3 matches.
