Kathmandu 9: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) candidate Dol Prasad Aryal has won the House of Representatives election. Aryal, who is also the Vice President of the RSWP and the Coordinator of the Federal Election Management Committee, has received 35,093 votes. His closest competitor, Nepali Congress's Nanumaiya Bastola, has received 5,460 votes.
According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Ajayakranti Shakya of the CPN (UML) has received 4,580 votes, Dil Kumar Karki of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has received 1,457 votes, and Radhakrishna Maharjan of the Nepali Communist Party has received 1,328 votes.
According to the final results of the House of Representatives election held on Thursday, 24 candidates, including various political parties and independents, were in the fray in the constituency.
