According to the latest update on the vote counting in Lamjung, UML candidate Prithvi Subba Gurung has emerged victorious in the Kholasothar rural municipality.

Prithvisubba Gurung, who was trailed by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Nepali Congress (NCS), advanced to Qholasothar Rural Municipality 3. However, Qholasothar Rural Municipality 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8 have been counted.

So far, when 8,135 votes have been counted, Prithvisubba Gurung has polled 2,685 votes. Congress' Gam Prasad Gurung has polled 2,275 votes. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) candidate Dharmaraj KC has polled 2,183 votes. NCP candidate Harijang Tamang has polled 438 votes. 319 votes have been invalidated.

There were a total of 137,124 voters in Lamjung. According to the Central Election Office, 75,252 votes were cast in 193 polling stations, including one temporary one, out of 130 polling stations. 38,856 were women and 36,229 were men.

Women have cast 55.89 percent votes and men 53.59 percent votes. The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer has stated that 54.76 percent of the total voters have cast their votes.
