The Progressive Democratic Party (PRALOP) has decided to support the CPN-UML in Rupandehi Constituency No. 3 after the party took action against its own candidate. The PRALOP made public its decision to support UML candidate Basudev Ghimire in Rupandehi Constituency No. 3 on Wednesday after the party's candidate Govinda Karakheti was subjected to disciplinary action.

The party has directly appealed to its leaders, cadres and well-wishers to vote for UML candidate Ghimire under the sun symbol. The party's regional in-charge and central member Rabina Bhandari and central member Bimala BK have made public the official information regarding the electoral coordination for Rupandehi Constituency No. 3.

The public statement mentions that there is electoral coordination with UML in some places in Karnali Province and the former Rapti. However, the constituency has not been disclosed. Pralopa central member Bamdev Chhetri said that it has been decided to support the UML candidate in Rupandehi Constituency No. 3 and that the matter of other constituencies will be made public later.

Earlier, on Magh 23, Govinda Karakheti, the candidate for the House of Representatives in Rupandehi-3 from the Progressive Democratic Party (Pralopa), was expelled from the party for engaging in individualistic activities against the party's interests. The party took action against him for being involved in individualistic activities against the party's interests. Karakheti was accused of making his wife a proportional candidate from the Shram Sanskriti Party even though he became a direct candidate from the Rupandehi House of Representatives constituency No. 3. Earlier, the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal candidate had entered the UML in the Rupandehi House of Representatives constituency No. 3. Srinivas Yadav, who was the candidate of the JSP Nepal, had withdrawn his candidacy and issued a statement supporting the UML candidate.

Ghimire is in competition with Sushil Gurung of the Congress and Dr. Lekhjung Thapa of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). In this constituency, which has 140,035 voters, there is competition between the UML, Congress and RSSW. Earlier, on the day of nomination in Rupandehi-4, Congress candidate Pramod Yadav had entered the UML.

Yadav, who was elected from the Congress in 2074, was preparing to become a candidate from the Congress this time too. However, after joining the UML on the morning of Mang 6, Chairman KP Sharma Oli gave Yadav the candidate ticket. UML District President Yagya Gaire said that with the entry of Yadav in Rupandehi-4 and Srinivas in Rupandehi-3 and the support of Pralopa, UML candidate Ghimire is becoming stronger and UML's victory is assured.
