UML has fielded candidates aged 60 and above in 54 of the 165 constituencies across the country for the House of Representatives elections. According to Election Commission data, about 33 percent of UML's total candidates are leaders over 60 years of age.

These 54 candidates above 60 years of age are all men. UML has not fielded a single woman from this age group. Zalim Mian Mansuri is the oldest candidate among the UML candidates. Mansuri, who is 78 years old, has filed his candidacy from Parsa constituency number 4.

While 78-year-old Mansuri is the oldest candidate in the election fray, 27-year-old Amanish Kumar Yadav (Sarlahi-4) has become the youngest candidate. There are only 13 candidates under 40 years of age in the UML candidate list. Out of the 13 candidates under 40, four are women candidates.
