Nepali Congress leader Devraj Chalise has described the current debate and controversy within the party as a 'starting point for transformation' rather than a 'quarrel'.

Speaking at a program organized at Bhrikutimandap, leader Chalise claimed that even though the conflict within the Congress appears from the outside, it is actually an attempt to strengthen the party. 'Right now, from the outside, it seems like there is a conflict in the Congress, but what we feel is that this is not a conflict,' he said, 'This is an attempt at transformation, we are doing what others could not do.'

Leader Chalise presented the changes in the party's working style and dialogue in an interesting way. Comparing the past and present, he said, 'Earlier, even a conflict in the Congress seemed like a consultation, and it was worth listening to. But now, even a consultation seems like a conflict, that's the only difference.'
