More than 600 delegates have registered to participate in the special general convention of the Nepali Congress.

According to the coordinator of the publicity committee, Subash Pokharel, 630 representatives have already received the cards and the process of receiving them is ongoing. The coordinator of the housing management committee, Ramesh Dhamala, said that the number of people who have walked from district to district is around 2,700. This is about 60 percent.

‘The representatives who walked from some districts are still on their way,’ Dhamala said, ‘The record of the actual representatives will be known after the registration process is completed.’

The presence of representatives and well-wishers gathered for the special general convention has increased the hustle and bustle at the convention venue, Bhrikuti Mandap. Currently, a procession of cadres and people from various parts of Kathmandu is continuing to reach Bhrikuti Mandap. 

The inaugural session has been scheduled for 1 pm.
