UML's proportional list: Vice President Thapa is number one among indigenous peoples and Secretary Aryal among women

The UML has stated that it has submitted the closed list of candidates for the proportional representation system for the upcoming House of Representatives elections to the Election Commission, combining the first, second, and third generations.

UML has submitted the proportional list with Vice President Ram Bahadur Thapa at number one in the indigenous and nationalities cluster. Similarly, Secretary Padma Aryal has been ranked number one in the women's cluster. UML has stated that it has submitted the closed list of candidates for the proportional representation for the upcoming House of Representatives elections to the Election Commission by combining the first, second and third generations.

The party has stated that it has prepared a list including the old generation, the new generation and the inclusive group. The closed list includes the names of leaders including Ram Bahadur Thapa, Guru Baral, Pushpa Kandel from the old generation, while the names of Padma Aryal, Tuka Hamal, Nirudevi Pal, Komal Oli, Shanta Chaudhary, Bhumika Subba from the women's group.

Eight people including Gorakh Bogati, Lal Bahadur Mahatara, Lal Bahadur Rawal have been included from the backward areas. In addition, representation of people with disabilities has also been included in the list.

From the new generation, young and inclusive candidates including Meena Baram, Mankumari Titung, Mayadevi Podeni, Nirmal Daula, Rampukar Das Tatma, Sant Bahadur Chepang, Ichcha Chaudhary have been included in the closed list. Similarly, young leaders including Kranti Burlakoti and Anita Kandangwa have also been included.

The UML secretariat meeting held on Sunday decided to submit the list of proportional candidates to the Election Commission after Chairman KP Sharma Oli finalized it. According to the same decision, the party has submitted the closed list of proportional candidates today, the last day for submitting the closed list.
