Five parties have so far submitted their closed lists for the proportional representation (PR) elections scheduled for Falgun 21.
The Election Commission has stated that so far, the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party, Nepal Democratic Party, Rastriya Janamorcha, Janapriya Loktantrik Party and Nepali Communist Party Marxist (Pushpalal) have submitted their closed lists. While the NEPKIPA and Rastriya Janamorcha have submitted a list of 110 candidates, the Nepal Democratic Party, Janapriya Loktantrik Party and Nepali Communist Party Marxist (Pushpalal) have submitted a list of 12, 12 and 20 candidates to the Commission.
Political parties are engaged in the final homework to prepare the closed list of candidates for the proportional representation for the House of Representatives elections. Although the Election Commission has set the time for submitting the closed list for Sunday and Monday, most parties are making final preparations to submit it only on the second day, today.
