RSP President Rabi Lamichhane and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah are set to hold further discussions on joining forces in the upcoming elections.

Lamichhane and Shah held a discussion for about 2.5 hours on Thursday. After the discussion, Chairman Lamichhane responded that the conversation was good. He did not want to say anything more about the discussion with Shah. 

People close to Lamichhane and Shah have said that the two will talk again. 'They have risen to the occasion to sit in on the talks again, they will sit again soon,' both sides have said.

After meeting Shah, Lamichhane is in internal party discussions. Balen is in discussions with leaders of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Ujjal Nepal (Ujjal Nepal) along with Gen-G representative Amresh Kumar Singh. He is holding political discussions at his advisor Kumar Ben's house in Jwagal, Lalitpur.

Balen met Lamichhane on Thursday morning after meeting with Energy Minister and Ujjal Nepal Party patron Kulman Ghisingh and former Congress MP Dr. Sunil Sharma.
