According to UML Central Election Commission Vice-Chairman Sanuraj Pokharel, voting is expected to take place by 8 am tomorrow, based on the current situation.
A total of 1,282 votes were cast in the voting for the new leadership of the UML's 11th National Convention.
UML Central Election Commission Vice Chairman Sanuraj Pokharel informed that 1,282 people have voted in the ongoing voting at the convention venue Bhrikutimandap till 10 am. Voting started at 9:12 am and it takes an average of 25 to 30 minutes for each person to vote.
He said that arrangements will be made for the representatives who entered the polling station before 12 midnight to vote till late. Election Commission Vice Chairman Pokharel said that according to the current situation, voting is expected to be held till 8 am tomorrow. 'According to the current voting time, it seems that voting will be held till 8 am tomorrow,' he said, 'On average, it takes an average of 25 to 40 minutes for each person to vote.'
The commission has distributed tokens to the voters in the queue for their convenience. Those who are sitting with tokens have the facility to go and vote after being called by the commission.
About 642 candidates have filed their candidacies for the 301 central member committees in UML. Two thousand 263 voters are participating in the voting. Currently, 80 electronic voting machines have been used for voting. The results will be made public within two hours of the end of the voting, said Pokharel, the vice-chairman of the commission.
