It is alleged that UML has also put a hold on Neelam Dhungana Timsina, who is currently the permanent governor, in not being able to appoint a governor. Timsina claimed that the Prime Minister and UML President KP Sharma Oli had promised him for the governorship when the governorship fell to UML. However, later due to political interference, the post fell to the Congress.
