The role of Nepal Rastra Bank and the Governor is important for the stability of the financial sector and advice on monetary policy formulation and implementation. Similarly, Nepal is in the "grey list" of FTF. The bad loans of most of the banks have exceeded the prescribed limits, at this time the important and sensitive position of the governor of Rashtra Bank has been made a subject of manipulation by the ruling party.
The government has mocked Rashtra Bank by appointing Kamu to a position like the governor.
