About 2400 years ago, the policy of 'Sam, Dam, Danda, Bheda' propounded by Chanakya, who ruled the center of South Asia, is being followed in the same way from politics, diplomacy, conflicts to personal and institutional interests. Among them, the second jukti, i.e. Daam, is the short meaning of bringing money or property to one's side. The ruling party UML's decision to take the 'donation' of a certain businessman for the construction of the central office of the ruling party UML has become comparable to Chanakya's 'Dam' policy.

The declared primary objective of political parties is to serve the common people. Where is education, health, employment and infrastructure in Nepal? Why is that? Who is responsible for it? And now what kind of plans do the state leadership have? This accounting is being done by society. There is no doubt that the tendency of the ruling party to take help from certain businessmen through opaque means to create a party office instead of doing homework will weaken the party. It is indispensable for the parties to maintain a transparent account even to maintain the dignity of the seats obtained from the popular and special constituencies of the people. However, the parties who have become unpopular by not paying attention to this basic issue should worry about it or not, let them know. However, such trends should not weaken the system of people making their own decisions.

The entry of traders into the two Constituent Assemblies and later Parliaments is established as a remarkable event. People like Lharkyal Lama, Ichcharaj Tamang have become assemblymen and parliamentarians. Even in this Parliament, those who have been Ministers several times, who are in influential roles within the party, have become MPs proportionally. Mainly because of their political commitment and persistence, they succeeded in becoming members of parliament because of their financial support to the party and the transaction of opportunities provided by the party. Rajya Lakshmi Golchha, who became a member of the UML in 2070, gave a public statement that she had repeatedly paid seven crore rupees to the party. Many of them are not seen in parliament or party politics now. I don't know why they came to politics and where they went.

Not only parliamentarians, from ambassadors to political appointments of various institutions, a similar trend is seen. That is, there is an exchange of financial support and positional opportunities. The taker takes, the giver leaves the political arena after fulfilling his interests. No one has to be held accountable for that. The latest case is just an evolution of this trend. This trend must stop now. At this time, an answer is expected from UML President and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. His answer is not only for the government and UML, but also for its main ally Congress, Maoist who was in the leadership of the government until three months ago and now the new party RSVP, which is in the opposition. 

It is not hidden that the opaque tendencies of the old parties have increased the frustration of the people. The country is not only looking for an alternative to the leadership, but also an alternative to the trend. If we look for an alternative to the trend, the parties that have entered the parliamentary political competition have not been able to show a bright political future. Because the Dhaka Kumar Shrestha case has made it clear that which candidates were sent to the parliament by the RSVP, which had shown hope for an alternative politics. Because after the RSVP went to the government, he asked for 20 million from a medical practitioner in return for which he promised to help him become a minister. Coincidentally, Dhakakumar was expelled from the RSVP after the audio was released, but what this case shows is that there is a widespread lack of financial discipline in the old and new parties.
