According to the preliminary results, Sunil KC of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) received 424 votes, Maniram Phuyal of the UML received 236 votes, Kabir Sharma of the Nepali Congress received 189 votes, and Kuntidevi Pokharel of the RPP received 57 votes.
