Researcher Sneha Kumcha said that New Delhi understands that it is not the only player in South Asia, but many players.

On the second day of the Kantipur Conclave, on Tuesday, in the session 'Nepal in the tug of war', Kumcha, a researcher at India's South Asia Center, MP-IDSA, said that New Delhi is taking its steps knowing that there are other players in South Asia. 'New Delhi has understood that there are many players in South Asia,' she said. Kumcha said that New Delhi is well aware that its presence will remain in South Asia even though there are other players. Despite the presence of other powerful countries in South Asia, India is taking steps with confidence, keeping in mind its relevance, she said.

Researcher Kumcha said that India has been changing its relations with Nepal in recent times. Kumcha said, 'Compared to five years ago, Nepal-India relations are now really based on economy and institutional development.'
