The Nepali Congress has called for skilled human resources as volunteers for the effective use of media and information technology in 165 constituencies across the country.

The party has issued a notice demanding manpower in areas such as cinematography, photography, video editing, graphic design and social media management.

Congress Mahasamiti Amrit Gyawali informed that this initiative has been taken keeping in mind the changing political and information technology environment .

Stating that sponsored and misleading information is currently coming through various means, he said that a voluntary media team is needed to disseminate accurate information to the grassroots level and directly connect with the candidates.

He said, ‘Our aim is to disseminate accurate information from the grassroots level by connecting with the candidates in a voluntary manner, and we have invited people with the idea that they can support the party and show their skills and get exposure.’

According to him, although the initial plan is for 165 constituencies, more volunteers will be deployed as needed . He said that many people are interested in the information and are receiving many calls and contacts. He said, "Many have shown interest, now the selection will be made based on the necessary criteria. The main objective is to ensure that accurate information reaches the candidates and the public, ensuring healthy competition."

According to Gyawali, this service will be completely volunteer-based. He said that although resources are generally managed, the party is not in favor of purchasing the service.
