The talks scheduled to be held on Saturday between Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) President Rabi Lamichhane have become uncertain.

The responsibility of formulating a modality of cooperation as a homework to bring Balen and Ravi together was given to Shishir Khanal, Asim Shah from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Kumar Ben and Bhupdev Shah from Balen. However, the talks have not reached a conclusion due to disagreements over power sharing.

Balen has tried to reach an agreement with the RSS to include Kulman Ghising of the Ujjaya Nepal Party. For that, the Balen faction is seeking a 50 percent share. However, RSS President Lamichhane does not seem ready for that.

As the possibility of Balen joining the party increased, the RSS leaders had distanced themselves from Kulman, who was being discussed for his inclusion in the party while Lamichhane was in prison. Now the RSS faction has proposed to include only Balen's team and Gen-G.

However, Balen wants to bring Kulman along with him. For that, Balen had met Ghising at a house in Baluwatar at 8 am on Saturday. During that time, Balen had also told him about the proposal from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

In the past, Balen had assured him that he was in Ghising's favor. After receiving that assurance, Ghising shared a photo with Balen on social media on 14 Mangsir and wrote, "We are with you in the campaign to build a country." However, since Balen has started having regular conversations with the RSS, he is also holding discussions with Ghising.

If there is no unity with the RSS, Balen is preparing to move forward in politics through the Desh Bikas Party. For that, he has even prepared a party office in Latilpur. The election symbol of this party is a laura, and Sandhya Khanal is currently the president. He has also prepared a proportional list to move forward differently if the party does not unite.
