The Special Court has ordered to recall the decision of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority dated 25 Mangsir 2069 in the corruption case registered against former Prime Minister Madhav Nepal. The order was made by a bench of Justices Narayan Prasad Poudel and Dilli Ratna Shrestha of the Special Court in the Patanjali land irregularities case.

The special court has ordered the witnesses to be physically present or through audio-visual means and to give their statements.  The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority had filed a corruption case against 93 people, including former Prime Minister Madhav Nepal, in the Patanjali Yogpeeth land swap case on Jestha 22. 

The commission had registered a case alleging corruption by allowing the purchase and sale of land exceeding the limit and embezzling and causing loss to government public property. The special court made this order while conducting the second hearing in the case. 

The commission had made the then Law Minister Prem Bahadur Singh and the then Minister Dambar Bahadur Shrestha their son Santosh Shrestha, the then Chief Secretary late Madhav Prasad Ghimire his wife Kamala Ghimire, Land Reforms Secretary Chhabi Raj Panta and others as defendants. 

Similarly, a case was registered against the then Joint Secretaries Jit Bahadur Thapa and Lalmani Joshi. Corruption cases were also filed against the then Law Undersecretary Kalanidhi Poudel, Gandhi Prasad Subedi, Bhupendramani KC, the then Director General Keshar Bahadur Baniya, and the then Undersecretary Rajaram Thapa. 

A corruption case was filed against Nepal, demanding a fine and punishment of Rs 185.85 million.
