Ward President of Mechinagar-4 Arjun Karki, representatives of Forest Office Jhapa, wildlife conservationists Shankar Luitel and Deven Kharel, as well as a team of Nepali security personnel handed over the camp to the Indian forest officer from Mechi bridge. According to Nutal Karki, coordinator of the
rapid response team, three elephant camps were swept away by Saturday night's severe flood. "Out of the three, two have reached India and only one came to Nepal, which was rescued by the locals and sent to India," said Ward President Karki.
