Prime Minister Sushila Karki pointed out that the demand for amendment of the constitution was raised during the Gen-G movement and made it clear that the agenda will be held after the new elections to be held on February 21.

In her first address to the nation on Thursday, she claimed that the current interim government has received a mandate to hold elections within 6 months and claimed that the same government will amend the constitution after the elections. She said that now the House of Representatives will be elected and the government that will be formed after the election can amend the constitution for the direct executive.
