Nepal Bar Association, the umbrella organization of legal practitioners, has commented that the state should not take the lives of citizens. The General Secretary of Nepal Bar, Kedar Koiral, issued a statement and requested to provide proper compensation to the families of the deceased.

"The task of the state is not to take the lives of citizens, but to protect them," the Bar's statement said. '

It is said in a statement that the Bar Association has also drawn serious attention to the fact that the government has recently deactivated social networks that are not registered under the Social Media Guidelines, 2080.  

There can be no two opinions about the regulation of social networks under the prevailing laws. It is necessary for the Government of Nepal to adopt a solution-oriented approach to this matter and regulate the social media,' the statement said, 'Since control will not solve the problem, both the Government of Nepal and the service providers are sensitive and earnestly request the respective agencies for a positive solution to this matter and proper management of network use.' Bar also says that rule of law, independent judiciary, full guarantee of human rights, freedom of thought and expression, peaceful demonstration should be allowed.
