The Ministry of Health and Population issued a circular to hospitals on Monday to provide free treatment to those injured during the Gen-G movement.
Under the leadership of Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel, the ministry has sent a letter to the hospitals to provide free treatment to the injured to save their lives. Considering the pressure of patients in the emergency room of the hospital where the patients are being treated, the Ministry has given special emphasis on manpower management.
Minister Paudel's secretariat has informed that 6 security personnel including 4 doctors have been assigned to help in the emergency room of the civil hospital. According to the ministry, the trauma center of Veer Hospital is treating patients at full capacity.
The Ministry's hotline 'Hello Health' will be operated 24 hours a day to prevent blood shortage for those injured in the movement. According to the ministry, arrangements have been made to inform any patient or hospital if there is a shortage of blood by calling 1115.
The Ministry of Health and Population has mentioned that arrangements have been made through the Emergency Operation Center to make the ambulance service more efficient and to provide it easily in various places where it is needed.
According to the ministry, arrangements have been made to facilitate the ambulance network of Kathmandu Valley to take the patients who are referred from the hospital to another hospital.
The ministry has also called on all doctors and health workers to unite and treat the injured.
