The hand found on Saturday among those missing in a landslide near Sindhukhola in Paudigarhwal, Uttarakhand, India, has been identified as that of 39-year-old Narendra Khadka of Madhuvan Municipality-6 in Bardia. But the police have not confirmed this.

Among the 5 missing people in the flood and landslide, the hand found during the search after the landslide on Saturday was identified as that of Khadka. The family identified him based on the name written on his hand and 'tattoo'.

Chitra Bahadur Paudel of Madhuvan, Bardiya, who is in Bakuda of Paudi Garhwal, said that the hand of 39-year-old Narendra Khadka of Madhuvan Municipality-6 Village No. 4 was found among the missing. Narendra's father Chudamani, who came in search of his son, daughter-in-law and grandson, identified Narendra on the basis of a tattoo written on his hand.

SSP Prakash Malla of the Nepali Embassy in Delhi said that it cannot be said that Khadka was involved until the Indian police confirm it. Chudamani's brother Uddav Khadka said that Dai will come home by tonight. He said that the nephew was identified because of the tattoo and name written on his hand.

About 45 Nepali people have been engaged in the search operation for five days to search for the missing people in flood and landslide. 5 people from Bardia went missing in the landslide. Among them, 39-year-old Narendra Khadka of Madhuvan Municipality-6,  Along with his 30-year-old wife Saraswati, he went to India to work with his 2-year-old son Roman.

The situation of Saraswati and Roman is still unknown. Also, Amrita, the wife of 45-year-old Ramu Periyar of Sohi Palika-5 Gow No. 8 is also missing. His daughter Lakshmi, 21, is seriously injured.
