Resham Lal Chowdhury, the guardian of Civil Liberation Party (NAUPA), has given the responsibility of the central committee chairman to Lalveer Chowdhury. The leader of the parliamentary party, Gangaram Chaudhary, said that Lalveer was appointed as the president by the national meeting of the silk party held on Wednesday and Thursday.

He is the father of Lalveer Resham, the federal MP elected from Bardia-2. Resham removed his wife Ranjita Shrestha and brought his father as the chairman.

Ranjita was asked to come to the national meeting to clarify the allegations against her, but Resham says that she ignored it. "We have repeatedly asked him to come to the meeting and clarify the allegations against him," he said, "and after Ranjitaji did not come to the meeting, the party elected a new leader and gave up."

Earlier, Resham Paksha's Vela expelled president Ranjita from the party. The National Assembly in Kathmandu has removed Shrestha from the post of chairman so that he is not even an ordinary member. After Ranjita was involved in the middleman who grabbed the land of lychee garden in Batulechaur, Pokhara, there was a dispute within Naupa.

Ranjita has asked parliamentary party leader Gangaram Chaudhary for an explanation when the party's controversy is intensifying. Why not act against the interests of the party, against the provisions of the statute and the law on political parties? Chairman Shrestha asked party leader Chaudhary for an explanation.
