Illegally elected president in Naupa, I will go to legal process: Shrestha

Nagarik Unmukti Party (Naupa) President Ranjita Shrestha has claimed that her removal from the post is not legal. Shrestha alleges that the party's guardian, Reshammalal Choudhary, gathered 'illegals' and elected the new president of NAUPA.

The national meeting held on Thursday of the silk party has entrusted the elected MP Lalveer Chaudhary from Bardia-2 as the chairman. Lalveer is also Resham's father. Shrestha said that Lalveer was not legally appointed as the president, and said, 'It is illegal . I will go through the legal process . Similarly, what is the legal status of Naupa parliamentarians?'

Earlier, Chairman Ranjitha was expelled from the party by the meeting of Resham Paksha. The National Assembly in Kathmandu has removed Shrestha from the post of chairman so that he is not even an ordinary member. After Ranjita was involved in the middleman who grabbed the land of lychee garden in Batulechaur, Pokhara, there was a dispute within Naupa.

Ranjita has asked parliamentary party leader Gangaram Chaudhary for an explanation when the party's controversy is intensifying. Why not act against the interests of the party, against the provisions of the statute and the law on political parties? President Shrestha asked party leader Chaudhary for an explanation.
