Minister of Eastern Provinces and Civil Liberties Party Chairperson Ranjita Shrestha has reached the office of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority in Tangal for a statement. Minister Shrestha, who was involved in the land grab of 134 ropani of 'Lychee Bagan' in Pokhara Batulechaur, Kaski, has been summoned by the Authority for a statement.

Shrestha, who is also a Member of Parliament, was also called for a statement during the commission's investigation into the bribery 'deal' case between the then Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister Rajkumar Gupta and middleman Sujan Lama. According to authority sources, Shrestha's 'voice test' is also being taken. His 'voice test' will be taken to check whether it matches the audio released in the bribery case.

The audio of the bribe 'deal' made by the then federal affairs minister Gupta by the lama of the gang who created the land-grabbing scenario of lychee plantation by appointing a favorable person as the head of the land office and land problem resolution commission was made public a few days ago.

The authority has started a statement on Tuesday with the former minister Gupta and the Lama who "dealt" bribe with him. The authority said that the voices of both people were also 'recorded' for testing. An official of the Authority informed that the forensic science laboratory was sent for the audio test that was made public a few days ago.

Former minister Shrestha was also called for double test to see if he matches/does not match the voice heard in the audio.
