Two dead bodies were found in Trishuli river in Dhading. According to the police, the dead body was found submerged in the mud on the river bank.
Bodies were found in Gajuri rural municipality-6 in Belkhuma and Galchi rural municipality-2 in Keureni. Subas Hamal, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office informed that both the bodies were male.
The flow of water in Trishuli river has increased since morning. A dead body that was being burnt on the bank of Trishuli located in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-7 of Dhading was also washed away by the river. Local Kumar Basnet informed that during the cremation, the body along with the pyre was washed away by a sudden flood.
District Administration Office Dhading, Nuwakot and Rasuwa have jointly issued a notice that the water flow in the head area of Trishuli river is increasing due to the heavy rain on the night of 23rd June, and the residents of the river banks are requested to be extra careful. It is also requested to immediately inform the nearest security agencies about the occurrence of possible floods, landslides or other natural calamities.
