The government is on high alert to rescue weather-related disasters. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government has put the disaster management department on high alert.

He informed that the volunteers of Armed Police Force, Nepal Army and Nepal Police are deployed with rescue equipment.

Since the contact numbers of the security agencies deployed in disaster-prone areas have been made public, they have also requested to contact them for information coordination.

Similarly, through social media, he has asked the general public to be on high alert saying that the water level of various rivers including Trishuli has increased.

He appealed to everyone to stay safe as the risk of floods and landslides increased with the active monsoon.

Prime Minister Oli, issuing a message through social media, has said, 'There have been reports that the water level of some rivers, including the Trishuli River, has increased. Let's pay attention to the information of the Department of Water and Meteorology and take necessary precautions.'

Due to the flood in the Bhotekoshi River, Miteri Bridge on the China border of Rasuwa has been washed away and several vehicles have also been washed away. Similarly, 2 people trapped in the flood of Trishuli river in Nuwakot have been rescued by an army helicopter.

18 people, including 6 Chinese nationals and 3 policemen, have gone missing in the flood of Bhotekoshi. Their search is ongoing.
