A corruption case has been filed against the ruling UML Madhesh Pradesh MP Dipendra Kumar Thakur on allegations of irregularities in building construction. The Council of Justice has recommended the appointment of three judges

to the Supreme Court. The meeting of the council on Tuesday recommended three out of the four vacant judges in the Supreme Court. The council has recommended Meghraj Pokharel, Srikant Paudel and Shantisingh Thapa. Those recommended by the Constitutional Council will be sent in writing to the Parliamentary Hearing Committee for approval of the appointment.
