The government has allocated 2.70 billion 63 billion 65 lakh rupees to the Ministry of Defense and Home Affairs for the next financial year. Similarly, under the Ministry of Defense, the budget was 57 billion 385 million rupees in 081/82, and 59 billion 23 million 47 million rupees in 080/81. In 079/80 51 billion 72 crore 54 lakh rupees and in 078/79 53 billion 18 crore 29 lakh rupees were allocated. 

In the budget, the government has prioritized plans such as procurement of weapons and other welfare items for security agencies, digital immigration services, etc. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, in the budget statement presented to the Federal Parliament on Thursday, mentioned that resources have been ensured to make defence, internal security, peace and security, immigration administration, etc. effective. It is stated in the budget statement that "military equipment, arms and security equipment necessary for the security agencies will be provided, and the capacity of the army will be increased and mobilized for national security, development and disaster management". 

The government has continued the army's 'Bunker to Barracks' program which was started a decade and a half ago. National Defense University (National War College) in Nepal as a mandatory course for promotion from assistant charioteer to higher has been allocated according to the policy and program to be put into operation in Nepal from 2083. Budget has been allocated for 'online payment system' and 'online visa' to make the immigration administration service agile and effective. Experts and investors working in 'start-up' business will be provided free residential visa and 'digital nomad visa' will be provided to people who work remotely for foreign companies in Nepal.
