A meeting of the opposition parties is taking place, demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar over the visit visa case. The Rashtriya Prajatantra Party is absent from the meeting being held at the Federal Parliament Building New Baneshwar.

Leader of the main opposition party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, is holding a meeting of the opposition parties before the Parliament session on Wednesday.

According to the Maoist MP Madhav Sapkota, opposition parties such as RASWP, United Socialists and others are participating in the meeting. In the meeting which started at 10:50 AM, the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar, the running of the Parliament to present the budget and other issues are being discussed. The opposition RPP did not participate in the

meeting. The RPP is also demanding the resignation of the Home Minister. In the meeting of the opposition parties, former Prime Minister and President of United Socialist Madhav Kumar Nepal, Acting Party Leader of RSVP Virajbhakta Shrestha, Deputy Chairman Swarnim Wagle, Chief Whip of United Socialist Party Metmani Chaudhary, Prabhu Sah of Aam Janata Party and others are participating in the meeting. The meeting of the House of Representatives was called for 11 o'clock, but it did not start even after half an hour delay.
