The government has announced preparations to prepare its own satellite operation base to increase communication and surveillance capacity. President Ramchandra Poudel, while presenting the policy and program for the next fiscal year 2082/83 in the Federal Parliament on Friday, announced the satellite plan.
In the policy and program read by President Paudel, it is said, "In order to increase the communication and surveillance capacity, the basis of Nepal's own satellite operation will be prepared." President Paudel said that it is planned to build a secure cyberspace while ensuring the security and continuity of sensitive information technology infrastructure.
Likewise, the policy of expanding quality service across the country through the use of the latest technology and infrastructure management in the telecommunication sector has also been put forward.
In terms of mass media, the government has taken a plan to make content production, broadcasting and lighting effective by empowering public service broadcasting organizations. It is mentioned in the policy and program that the postal service system will be modernized and commercialized and the concept of 'one local level, one post' will be implemented.
In addition, President Paudel said that the security printing system will be made sustainable and reliable and the implementation of 'Digital Nepal Framework' will be made more effective.
