It has been confirmed that the Nepali who died in the attack by gunmen in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India, was from Butwal. It has been revealed that 27-year-old Sudeep Neupane of Butwal sub-metropolitan city-14 has died.
Dadhiram Neupane, ward president of Butwal sub-metropolitan city-14, has confirmed the death of his nephew Sudeep Neupane in the incident. Sudeep and Ward President Neupane are cousins. He was living with his mother in Butwal sub-metropolitan city-11 Kalikanagar.
'It is my nephew who died in the Kashmir incident,' he said, 'A team including mother Rima, sister Sushma and son-in-law Ujjwal Kafle went to visit Kashmir on Saturday.'
Sudeep is a graduate student in Public Health in Dharan. According to Ward President Neupane, all the three people except Sudeep are safe. Babu Kaushal Neupane is at home. He is a teacher.
The body of deceased Sudeep has been prepared to be brought to Nepal on Wednesday. Ward Chairman Neupane said that he is now walking towards Kathmandu as the body is being brought from Kashmir to Delhi and from Delhi to Kathmandu.
The Chief District Officer of Rupandehi, Vasudev Ghimire, has informed that the person who died after being attacked by gunmen in Pahalgam, Kashmir, is 27-year-old Sudeep Neupane of Butwal-14.
