Former DIG of Nepal Police Chabilal Joshi, who was arrested on charges of cooperative fraud, has also been ordered by the court to release him on bail. Court information officer Suraj Adhikari informed that on Thursday, the bench of Judge Nitij Rai of District Court Kaski ordered former DIG Joshi to be released on bail of Rs 88 lakh.
The court has ordered Ravi Lamichhane, who is also the former chairman of RSVP and former home minister, to be released on bail of 65 lakh rupees.
Ravi Lamichhane was arrested on the 2nd of October on charges of embezzling the savings of Suryadarshan Cooperative of Pokhara while he was the managing director of Gorkha Media Network. Joshi was also one of the founders of the network .
The court has ordered the release of seven people including Ravi Lamichhane who are in the custody of the Kaski police in the Suryadarshan fraud case. The court has demanded Rs 37 lakh from Leela Pachai, Rs 15 lakh from Ram Khanal, Rs 5 lakh each from Meena Gurung and Aarti Gurung and Rs 1 lakh from Krishna Gurung.
