Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Ram Nath Adhikari has said that the government is serious about solving problems from agricultural subsidies to milk holidays. He says that real farmers will not get incentives without solving the problems related to agriculture which have been becoming 'chronic' for some years.

He also stated that he has started the investigation of whether actual farmers have received/not received the 36 billion subsidy distributed since 2071 to increase agricultural production. In the program on 'Chitwan Chintan', the minister said, "A lot of grants have gone in the name of farmers. He also said that the name of the people and organizations that took the grant will be made public in a few days. "The ministry will deal with those who do agricultural work well, I will do everything possible," he said in the "Kisan's issue at the center of agriculture" session.

Mentioning that the small farmers involved in agriculture are facing many problems, he said that the government should help them. Mentioning that there are complaints of banks and cooperatives not providing loans to small farmers, he said,  "Farmers complain that banks and cooperatives did not give 50,000 when they asked for it. The Ministry of Agriculture is serious about the issue of farmers." He said, 'Government is planning to move forward by converting milk into powdered milk so that there is no milk holiday.' In the

program, the outgoing president of Chitwan Banana Producers' Association, Ghannath Mahato, complained that the farmers did not get the price of the produce. Farmers sell it for 3/4 rupees. However, the consumer has to pay Rs.10/11. There is a gap between farmers and consumers. India's bananas are also a problem,' he said, 'farmers themselves are consumers, we have paid 10/11 rupees, the government should find a solution for this.' He said that in Nepal, the internal demand is not being met. Even though 65 percent of the population is engaged in agriculture, there is not enough to eat in Nepal, what is our problem? Should we move on after finding out?,' he said. 

Kalyani Mishra Tripathi, chairperson of the Service Commission under the University of Agriculture and Forestry, said that despite the study and research, she is worried about the coordination with the farmers. She said that she could not lead from the farmers' level. Agriculture and Forestry University was the need of the country. After coming to the university, not only sending, but also study and research. MSc, PhD research is done every year, she said.

"We are concerned about the extent of coordination with farmers during research," she said. Stating that the efforts to take the cultural agriculture as a business continue, Tripathi said, "Although it is not what we wanted, there has been a change." She said that the University of Agriculture and Forestry has introduced not only Nepal but the world, and said that 50 percent of its students have gone abroad. "The performance of the students of Rampur Agricultural Campus is better than that of other countries," she said, "but we have not been able to bring the students who have gone abroad." Despite being knowledgeable, it is not easy to find a solution, he said. He said that although the state is sensitive in solving farmers' problems, not all problems have been solved. "The government has not been able to spend all of the budget, it has not been able to meet the revenue target. That's why the state says let's solve it through the market," said Paudel. "The state should have a fund to pay everyone, the state is not a different structure." The government earlier gave 50 percent subsidy on agricultural insurance fee, now it has increased it to 80 percent, he added, but the government has not been able to pay the agricultural insurance subsidy now.
