Experts have said that Chitwan could not be made a 'hub' of education and health sector due to lack of favorable policies. He clarified that since Chitwan is moving forward as a medical hub, the policy will be brought only through discussions with medical institutions. 

Ministry of Health Wagmati minister Kiran Thapa Magar said that if Chitwan can be made a medical hub, services can be provided to Wagmati province as well as other provinces. He said, '4 big hospitals and an academic hospital are located here, so there is no problem in making Chitwan a medical city.'

He said that the ministry is trying to upgrade government and private hospitals. Claiming that many problems will be solved after the Health Act of Wagmati, he said, "According to the Health Act, hospitals with at least 100 beds can teach nursing in Wagmati, and many problems that have appeared in nursing colleges and hospitals will be solved."
