After the Kaski District Court extended the deadline against Ravi Lamichhane, the chairman of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, who was arrested for investigation into cooperative fraud and organized crime, the leaders and activists of the RSVP broke the prohibited area.

In that sequence, there was a scuffle between the protestors and the police. The police also fired tear gas to control the demonstration. The protestors, who broke the prohibited area from Y Chowk, were pushed by the police and reached Rashtra Bank Chowk. In the

demonstration, the deputy chairman of RSVP and MP DP Aryal, MPs Tosima Karki, Sovita Gautam and other leaders are also participating.

Lamichhane, who was arrested last Friday, has been detained by the court for another 7 days on Thursday and allowed to be investigated.
