Indra Khadka from Damak, Jhapa, who was stuck in the Kaldhunga near Mangaltar of Kavre for 10 days under the BP highway, returned home on foot after seeing no hope of rescue.

He is a driver himself. When he was coming to Kathmandu with passengers, he was trapped in Kaldhunga due to floods and landslides in Rosikhola. Floods and landslides have damaged the BP highway. Even after waiting for 10 days, he returned home on foot after seeing no possibility of rescue. 

Khadka, the driver who was going home through the Roshi coast, passing through the guard for 7 kilometers, was sitting down when he met Roshi's mother. He said that he spent 10 days hungry and thirsty in his car. 'I cried for 10 days. There was no immediate rescue. I am going home to celebrate Dasain after killing the love of the car,' he said.

He said that he could not even cross a small river and put the vehicle in a safe place near Mangaltar Chowki. People are sitting here, there is no telling what will happen at what time. Dasai came again. That's why Maya killed and walked away with the key. No one came to rescue us. They did not even care to take over the nearby police station,' he said. 

The government rescued some passengers by helicopter, while others risked their lives and went to their destination on foot. The driver and the vehicles stuck here are still the same. Some have left for a difficult journey.  'Some of my friends have fallen ill due to diarrhea caused by the cloudy water of the river, and it was seen that if they continue to sit like this, their lives will be at risk. That's why I took the road,' he said. 

The story of Arjun Danuwar, a truck driver from Udaipur, is the same. Trapped below Chowkidanda, he reached Mamti after walking for 7 hours. How many days can you spend paying 400 rupees for a simple meal and 100 rupees for a noodle? We left the vehicle to see what would happen,' he said, 'It took a long time because there was no way to walk and we had to cross the guard.' 

Some big vehicles have reached Bhakunde after passing through the flood of Roshi. But small vehicles have not been able to do it. The drivers had little hope that the vehicles would be saved as there were reports from time to time that they would be able to cross by putting a hump pipe. But he said that they were disappointed when there was no such effort until the 10th day.

Chetprasad Mainali, the driver of Jhapa's Jumbo Haas, says that the government is not interested in rescuing them. "Some friends are still waiting for a vehicle hoping to be rescued," he said. He said that he had never experienced such suffering in his life.'

He said that even the children of the house started crying to return anyway. "Even if the government could not rescue the vehicle, it would not have increased the worry in Dasai," said the driver Mainali, "but the police did not take responsibility for that either."

Shivram Khadka, a transport businessman from Sindhuli, said that the vehicle bought by spending 50 lakhs on a bank loan was not able to leave the vehicle and sent the driver to get sick. His electric vehicle is stuck in Mangaltar. 'There is no situation in Roshi that can be saved from the flood. We are requesting to build a temporary road, but there has been no hearing,' he said.
