Diversion construction work has started since last night at the place where the road has been washed away under the east-west highway. Bardghat Municipality-4 near Khursani Kholan, the road was washed away on Monday. Because of this, the traffic on the East-West highway has been blocked.
The police said that the construction work of the diversion started from 11 pm on Monday and efforts are being made to operate the traffic even if it is one-way by this afternoon.
The stranded vehicles have been stopped at Dumkibas to the east and Bardghat to the west. The chief district officer Skim Shrestha, the head of the security agency and the team of the road department have been deployed to open the road.
