Another bus was also found buried in Jhyaplekhola of Dhading under Prithvi Highway. According to the Armed Police Force, Nepal, the bodies of 3 people have been removed from the said bus.
According to DSP Shailendra Thapa, co-spokesperson of the Armed Police Force, Nepal, the bus is suspected to have left Lapubesi in Gorkha, but it is not certain. He said that the investigation is currently underway on the suspicion that other buses are also buried in Jhyaplekhola.
The passenger bus No. 4 B 2270 which left from Dharche Rural Municipality-7 Lapubesi in Gorkha for Kathmandu has not been in contact since Friday . Narayan Khatri, president of Gorkha Daraundi Transport Services Pvt. Ltd., said that the whereabouts of the bus has not been revealed since Friday night.
He said that the passenger bus left Lapu at 7 am on Friday. "The bus that was in contact till Khanikhola in Dhading at around 10 o'clock on Friday night has been out of contact since then," he said. He said that the police have also been asked to search. It is not sure how many passengers were on the bus.
14 people died when a microbus was crushed by a landslide in Jhyaplekholam. A microbus coming from Butwal to Kathmandu was buried in a landslide. The bodies of 14 passengers were recovered on Saturday evening. The bodies of eight men, five women and one child were recovered from the microbus, police said. According to Kathmandu Police Chief SSP Vasant Rajoure, search operations are underway on the assumption that other buses are also buried in Jhyaplekhola.
