Due to continuous rains, floods in Narayani river have inundated squatter settlements and Bote tol of Gaindakot.

According to the local police office, Gaindakot, the settlement located east-north of the Narayani river bridge in Narayangadh has been inundated. About 100 households there have been flooded. Houses on the banks of the river in Ward No. 2 were drowned.

Police said that they are using boats and excavators for rescue in the flooded area. According to the police, the residents of the flooded slum will be rescued and taken to a nearby school. The water level in the Narayani river has increased dramatically since Saturday morning due to continuous rain. The local administration has asked the residents of the river bank to be careful.
