6 players of the youth-14 camp organized by All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) in Makwanpur's Indrasarobar Rural Municipality-3 have lost contact.
According to ANFA central member Tikaram Lama, 6 of the 37 players who were kept in daily training with a hostel in the local Vatsala Mavi have been out of touch .
This morning at around 6 o'clock in the morning, when trying to move the players to a safe place, it is suspected that they were buried in a landslide. According to him, other players are in contact. It is reported that the accident happened when the players tried to go to a safe place by themselves through a short route, he said.
Among the missing students are Anup Ghalan Makwanpu, Aditya Valampaki Sarlahi, Riyans Acharya, Kathmandu, Suman Yonjan Makwanpur, Vikal Regmi, Nijgarh, Diwas Baniyan Makwanpur.
According to Makwanpur Police Chief Superintendent Sitaram Rizal, even though a team of police and armed police have been mobilized at that place, there is a problem when they have to cross the river. "We have asked them to walk a long way to get there," he said.
