At least 25 people in Barahkshetra Municipality-5 and 2 of Sunsari are trapped in the Koshi landslide. As the flow of water has increased in Saptakoshi, there has been difficulty in rescue.

A team including Koshi Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki has reached Barahkshetra for their rescue. However, the chief district officer of Sunsari, Ramchandra Tiwari, said that due to adverse weather conditions, even the helicopter could not be taken.

He said that the river is rapidly cutting towards the place where there are at least 25 people trapped in the landslide. Chief District Officer Tiwari said that a team including the Nepali Army and the Armed Police reached the spot for rescue but could not be rescued.

Meanwhile, Saptakoshi floods in Udaipur's Belka municipality ward no. 1, 2, 3, 8 and 9 are high risk . Ward no. Sisouli has been inundated by the flood from LK Khoj on 8th. Mayor Ashok Karki informed that the village was inundated when the flood overflowed the dam and entered the village. Due to heavy rains, there is a problem in the rescue work in that area.  Karki said that the Nepali Army, Armed Police and Nepal Police were deployed in the rescue.
