Pradeep Adhikari, director general of Nepal Civil Aviation Authority, said that the reason for the accident of Air Dynasty's helicopter in Nuwakot on Wednesday was violation of VFR (Visual Flight Rules).

In Thursday's meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee under the House of Representatives, the Director General said that the accident was initially seen when the flight violated the rules of not entering the clouds and not entering the places that cannot be seen by the eye.

Stating that he is confident that the inquiry committee formed by the Cabinet will provide detailed information, the director general said that the initial reason for the accident was the entry of the helicopter into a place with bad weather. "While looking at the root cause of this (helicopter accident), the inquiry commission will say again, it appears that the accident occurred when it turned left while returning due to entering bad weather, entering the cloud. According to the Visual Flight Rules of Civil Aviation by the Flying Command, it is prohibited to enter into the cloud or to enter a place where one cannot see. This is a matter prohibited by law. The root cause is the bridge of the visual flight rule,' he said.
