The CPN-Maoist Center has said that the agreement between UML and Congress to form a government together is natural and unnatural. After the official meeting held in Baluwatar on Tuesday morning, Maoist Vice President Agni Prasad Sapkota said that the agreement between Congress and UML is such that the country will go backward.

Vice President Sapkota, who is also the spokesperson, said that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is also the chairman of the party officials meeting, briefed about the latest developments. He said, 'In today's meeting, Chairman Comrade gave a brief briefing on the latest political developments. But now whatever agreement has been reached between Congress and UML, it does not seem so natural. It does not seem natural to form a government together with the first and second largest parties.'  

Vice President Sapkota also said that there is a suspicion that things such as proportional representation and other issues up to amending the constitution are going backwards rather than forwards. He also said that further steps will be taken only after discussions with other parties in the power equation. He further said, 'It is necessary to analyze the fact that the events are coming unexpectedly. It will have to be discussed with the parties in the power equation. In the beginning, UML-Congress government formation is not natural.

Vice President Sapkota says that some people did not like the actions taken against corruption. Since the formation of this government, it has done remarkable work in the field of social justice and good governance. Actions against corruption have been done which are unprecedented in history. Important works like Bhutanese refugees, Lalita Niwas Sun Kanada have been done. In terms of implementing the constitution, in terms of maintaining good governance, delivering to the people was not liked so much. It is suspected that these developments have taken place to derail it,' he said.
