The government is going to transfer 5 trillion 67 billion rupees for the state and local levels for the next year. Finance Minister Barshman Pun today mentioned that the amount will be transferred under the title of equalization, special, conditional, supplementary and revenue sharing in the proposed budget of the financial year 2081/082 in the House of Representatives.
Compared to the current year, the amount of revenue transfer to the provincial and local levels in the coming year has decreased. The amount of revenue to be transferred to the provincial and local level will be 73 billion 33 million less next year compared to the current year. It is estimated that 1 trillion 73 billion 92 billion will be transferred in revenue distribution in the current year, 1 trillion 59 billion has been proposed for the next year.
In the year 2080/081, the equalization grant allocated 58.67 billion to the province and 87.35 billion to the local level and 1.46 billion 2 billion was allocated. For the coming year, 60 billion has been allocated to the province and 88 billion to the local level. Similarly, 25.34 billion has been allocated to the province and 2.8 billion 88 billion for the local level as a conditional grant for the coming year. A total of 2 trillion 34 billion 83 crores has been allocated for the coming year under the title of conditional grants for infrastructure development at the provincial and local levels. In the current year, 35 billion 72 billion was allocated to the state and 1 billion 91 billion 89 billion to the local level towards conditional grants. In the current year, 2 trillion 27 billion 61 crores were conditionally allocated to provinces and localities.
In the supplementary title, 6 billion 20 million have been allocated to the province and 7 billion to the local level for the coming year. In the current fiscal year 2080/081, 6.22 billion was allocated to the province and 7.5 billion to the local level under the heading of supplementary. In the current year, a total of 13 billion 27 crores was allocated towards supplementary. 4 billion 40 million has been allocated to the province and 8 billion 50 million to the local level for the
special subsidy for the coming year. In the current year, 4.46 billion was allocated for special grants and 8.43 billion was allocated to the local level. It is estimated that a total of 1.59 billion rupees will be transferred to the state and local levels for revenue distribution for the coming year. 1 trillion 73 billion 92 crores were allocated last year.
