Anita Khati Chhetri from Tansen Municipality-5, Kailashnagar Palpa has participated in 'fashion shows' held in dozens of countries. She tries Nepali originality and culture in those shows. Recently, she has attached the Dharahara of Kathmandu, Ranimahal of Palpa and Palpali Dhaka along with the Nepalese flag in her hand-painted clothes on canvas. The costume prepared under the title 'Legacy to Take Pride' is kept as a dummy in the Palpa Palace.

"The design of the dress is ready, but some more work is left for its beauty," she said. This is just one example, she plans to use Palpali Dhaka in many ways. So far Dhaka has become a dress. 'I will portray it in a modern fashion,' she said, 'in every way, the plan is to promote Dhaka by portraying it in a modern way, not just clothing or clothing.' ; He says that work can be done in a way that reflects tradition, culture and tourism in

fashion. Because fashion has no definition and no boundaries. She said that we should understand that creating anything new is fashion. Fashion is a way to make people beautiful. "Palpali will work in connection with Dhaka," she added.  To break the story, after Anita completed 'plus two', her parents wanted her to become a health worker. As the father is a 'pensioner' from the Indian army, he thought that his daughter should also study the subject of becoming a government employee. But his desire was different, to study something different and creative. Because of this, he thought of studying fashion designing. 12 years ago, there were no colleges outside Kathmandu that taught fashion design.

Culture and Tourism in Fashion  'But I felt as if I would carry you,' she said. But later she gathered courage and reached Kathmandu and after persuading her parents, she enrolled in Model College of Fashion Technology, Bansbari.

Anita, who completed her SLC from Tansen Janata Mavi and Plus Two from Millennium College, worked in a shop for some time after completing a 'course' in fashion design. "I learned a lot during work," she said. Lately, she has launched 'Anitaj Design' in Lalitpur's Kupandol. 

"I want to create fashion that is different from what is seen in the market," she said, "My desire is to give 'difference' to the market." In addition, she is active in various discussions and debates about fashion design. During the Covid period, she also did a 'fashion show' under her own leadership. She said that doing work according to your interest gives you energy and inspiration to present more dimensions, style and presentation. "Fashion has taught me many things," she said, "I have learned to compete with many after leaving home." 

Culture and Tourism in Fashion Fashionable and different design clothes are sold more in the market lately. She says that although the boutique itself is expensive, customers are attracted to the innovative design. "Even if there is an old saree or other cloth at home, it can be made attractive in a new way," she said. Designer clothes are also more expensive than ordinary clothes. "It takes a lot of time to design and because a lot of attention is paid to finishing, it is a bit expensive," she said. Because of this, he has experience that the number of fashion-conscious customers is increasing. 

Lately, she is planning to connect fashion with culture and tourism. "There is a possibility that Palpali Dhaka can be taken to the international level," she says, "Nepali fashion should be connected with tradition, culture, and tourism."

Apart from that, she also says that public awareness work can be done through fashion design. Customers looking for fashionable and designed clothes are at an increasing rate. She said that the number of people wearing different designs in the market is increasing. It is his experience that recently customers are also looking for clothes that make them feel 'comfortable'.
